Joseph Lani grew up on the south shore of Staten Island, New York. He recounts a seemingly happy childhood that is shattered by a tragedy that tears his family apart forever. After trying to start a new life in Florida, he returns to the city that he loves and soon finds himself a member of New York’s finest. While working with the New York Police Department and learning the street survival skills needed to exist in the toughest police job in the world, Lani became a decorated and newsworthy cop. Under the stress of the job, Lani suffers a massive heart attack and subsequent near death experience. He miraculously recovers to a new life fully enveloped in the spirit world.
